Art Futures is a department-led, studio-based digital framework designed to articulate, evidence, and make visible the development of creative practice over time.
Our aim is to support students in understanding and articulating their progression as artists, designers, and creative practitioners, while presenting their work and skills within a professional, outward-facing context aligned to contemporary creative education.

Creative learning is cumulative, reflective, and often non-linear. While formal assessment captures outcomes, it does not always make visible the depth of skill acquisition, experimentation, or professional behaviours that underpin studio practice.
Art Futures responds to this by foregrounding process, progression, and practice, enabling students to recognise, evidence, and communicate how their skills develop over time. Through the structured award of digital badges, students build a visible record of learning that sits alongside their portfolio and evolving artist statement.
